Jan-Joseph Stok: Kamikaze Street Theatre

  1. The Dutch catholic missionary development agency  CMC Mensen met een Missie (People with a Mission) assigned freelance photographer Jan-Joseph Stok (1978) to make a series on theatre group Kamikaze in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The actors, most of them students, perform on the streets, in schools and community centres in and around Kinshasa. With their performances, Kamikaze tries to educate the Congolese audience on important issues like honesty, solidarity, human rights and non-violence.
