Joseph Kimojino: Mara Triangle, Kenya

The post-election violence in Kenya has caused the tourist industry to collapse, and without this vital source of revenue crucial park operations, including anti-poaching and de-snaring patrols, will have to stop in the Mara Triangle in the Masai Mara in Kenya.

Kimojino has been raising awareness for this problem through his blog and through his photos at flickr.

At the time of writing, the Mara Conservancy had only enough funding to see itself to the end of the second week in March, 2008.

You can donate directly to the work of the Mara Conservancy through his blog: www.maratriangle.wildlifedirect.org

Joseph Kimojino is the head of tourism and anti-animal harassment for the Mara Conservancy in the Mara Triangle, Masai Mara.
